Rebecca and Tom: The Old Rectory, Crostwick, Norfolk

Rebecca and Tom were married in North Norfolk. The church, St. Johns The Baptist Church in Coltishall and the venue was The Old Rectory in Crostwick. I met Tom , family and friends in a local pub, literally a stones throw from the church. It was good it was so close and the April showers were certainly present on the day! Rain on your wedding day is meant to be a good omen for the wedding couples future. Come rain or shine having photographed some 400 weddings the weather never phases me!

Bridal Preparation

No bridal preparation for this wedding, I was to meet Rebecca at the church. I do enjoy the bridal prep shots. It does help build a dialogue and also can ease any nerves but the choice is always down to the bride and groom and I can easily adapt to the coverage.

The wedding ceremony

The ceremony was held at their local church. despite the rain on the outset it did actually stop for the group shots. As with any wedding ceremony venue the light and photographing position I can work in dictates the coverage and shot options. However experience always wins. The ceremony was beautiful and it was a lovely moment for Rebecca and Tom. Capturing the guests are important and its a great opportunity to photograph the candid moments.

The Couple Shots

Couple shots are the perfect time to spend some time together and bride and groom. Often the first moment the couple are alone after the events of the day. The weather, venue and grounds can dictate the images we can create together. I always try to capture the bride and groom in both a relaxed and natural style as well as something more traditional. Looking for a shot with gives a synergy between the wedding couple with the venue as a backdrop.

Wedding Breakfast & Party Time

The wedding breakfast area is light and bright and really helps at The Old Rectory for natural images. I disappear whilst everyone eats and magically appear again at the speeches time! The evening rocked with a live band and a great fun element was with a photo-booth.

It was a truly fun and beautiful day and huge thanks go to Rebecca and Tom, a beautiful day!
