I wanted to post this blog on Sara and Joe’s wedding as we are coming up to that time of year, short days and long nights. Their wedding was held back in 2019 and at such a time, Christmas.
Who knew back at the end of 2019 that the whole world would be thrown into turmoil and the world would be a different place. Life is beginning to return, for me cautiously, but we are moving forward.
Sara and Joe were married at Rochester Cathedral, such a beautiful and atmospheric place albeit a challenge with low light or almost no light! The wedding held in the Cathedral the wedding reception at the magical Leeds Castle. The reception was held in the gorgeous Maiden’s Tower. The weather was not with us so our choice of where to shoot were limited so we decided to remain within grounds of the main castle.
As with all weddings the guests are an important point to dwell on when it come to the candid moments. I love photographing people and weddings give me that opportunity all day long. Wedding photography is as much about people as the beautiful ceremony so I am always keeping an eye alert for the moments that always brings a smile when looking back on the day.
Come rain or shine, Summer or Winter, light or next to no light, the venue shines with photography opportunities. I am privileged to be a preferred wedding photographer for Leeds Castle and have worked with LC for over 10 years. Working with Sara and Joe was truly great fun and a special day was had. Thank you both!
