The Red Barn is a real feast for the eyes, a 16th century oak beamed barn found between Kings Lynn and Downham Market. A stunning wedding venue offering a atmospheric backdrop to your wedding day. I have been fortunate to photograph there a few times before and have had a tremendous time. The management and staff are great and with the newly built section to the barn makes an enormous difference and experience. As a wedding photographer I am always on the look out for new locations to shoot however, when at the Red Barn I love using the Shepherds Hut as a backdrop for the couple and group photographs. This setting makes for a more informal placement, relaxed, chilled and just what the photographer ordered.
Nikki & Owen’s wedding was a beautiful and relaxed day. The day started with bridal prep. I really enjoy these moments getting to know the bridal party and helping to settle any wedding day nerves. After the prep it was over to the barn to meet with Owen and the chaps and let the fun begin ….
The day was not the greatest in terms of the weather but to be honest the weather has seldom been a negative factor. There is almost always an opportunity to create and grab the images you wish. You just have to think differently at times.
As a Norfolk wedding photographer I do get to travel around the county and beyond. Coming back to a venue you know is always a bonus but saying that working somewhere new is a challenge that I relish. I am very much looking forward to return to the Red Barn for another wedding. A beautiful and relaxed wedding, Nikki and Owen’s day was was fun and a great deal of laughter. Thank you guys for an awesome wedding! Wishing you both much happiness for the future.
