Nisha & Patrick’s Asian and Civil Wedding was held at Boreham House near Chelmsford, Essex.
I simply love Asian weddings and have photographed several over the years. I love the colour, the traditions and the sense of family. This combined with a Civil Wedding makes for an incredible full on day. The Asian ceremony held under a Mendap generally start quite early in the morning. They need to as we are basically documenting two wedding ceremonies in a day, not for the faint hearted. As a wedding photographer these two events do give you an amazing scope to produce a wide range of images from the day.
Boreham House is a mansion set in some 35 acres approached by a tree lined avenue and one cannot help but be amazed as a alongside the approach is a mirrored lake which reflects the mansion at the far end. An incredible welcome for the wedding party! Boreham House is an exclusive use venue and it offers an amazing opportunity for your wedding an one that will not disappoint.
Nisha and Patrick’s day started with the Pat meeting guests at the start of the approach to walk down to guests playing the traditional drums which accompany many an Asian wedding. Once all had arrived at the Mansion Pat was met by the Guru who was to lead the ceremony. A number of traditions are observed and so the Asian ceremony could begin. After the ceremony lunch was to follow and after a period of time the civil wedding could begin and so the day continued. An absolute amazing day!
